I want to be so hyped about this, but for whatever reason I don’t care about this at all. That trailer doesn’t even get me pumped about it, and I feel like it was probably a pretty good trailer.
Hopefully I’ll hear good things about it and that’ll make me want to check it out.

I thought it was going to be woke garbage because of that stupid "tolkein superfans" video that Amazon released. I think that's why most people have no faith in the series. It was a good trailer though and I will give it a shot.

Yeah my worst fear was it would look nothing like Peter Jackson’s trilogy. Turns out it actually looks pretty good so far. Nothing in that trailer I can bitch abiut yet

It looks pretty and the music is on point. I didn’t hate Galadriel like I thought I would based on the stuff we’ve seen prior to this.
Remaining cautious about it, but will definitely watch.

First off I really don’t even think Hobbits were around in the Second Age and the implication I got from the books were that Hobbits were a sub race of men that came about after the defeat of Sauron in the beginning of the Third Age. But no, that can’t be the Shire because the Hobbits didn’t discover the Shire until like 3,000 years after this story takes place.

There have been tons of great trailers for shitty movies. Yeah the trailer does look good, but after the super fans thing, I’m pretty much out. They’ve been trying to hide everything from us when Jackson was extremely transparent and accessible with the fans on his projects.
