I don’t like Abbott but in his defense, all he has to go by is what the chief and the mayor (who bear in mind was shut out of multiple meetings)has told him.
If that is inaccurate or the chief lied, then that shouldn’t be Abbotts fault. There are tons of things to be mad at him about (soft border, ERCOT. Etc), but this isn’t one of those IMO.
