With that said, this board is overwhelming Christian, with agnostic/atheist coming in as a distant second. Christian dogma holds that those in heaven are so rapt in ecstasy that who attends their funeral is utterly irrelevant. And if there is no afterlife, then it obviously doesn’t matter.
The only commonly considered scenario in which the deceased would care who attended their funeral is in a gloomy specter-esque paradigm. And that’s just too depressing to even consider.
