I’m just simply stating that our government is not out there selling and shipping oil to China’s ports. They’re selling it to refiners and trading entities who then are doing their own thing with the barrels.

I know you're not defending this but even your attempt to make sense of this doesn't make sense. Why would we be releasing oil from the SPR if we are at refining capacity? It's just plain idiotic.
Now, the real reason is that he is releasing oil from the SPR and then shipping it to his CCP master is because he can then say that he released the oil but gas prices are still not going down because of the evil oil companies. That just means we have to go 100% green so those evil, evil oil companies can't hold us hostage anymore.

IMO the SPR has one use, and one use only, to provide quickly accessible crude for refinement for the sole purpose of providing fuel to the agricultural supply chain in the event of a catastrophic national emergency so that at lease some of us don't starve to death before we can come up with a plan to recover.

Quite frankly, when you fear absolutely zero consequences politically or otherwise, you do what the frick you want. You think the media is going to skewer this administration? You think congress is going to launch investigations? Is the DoJ going to show up with hack saws and crowbars leaving no stone unturned? We are way past the point of politicians skimming a few bucks off the top to steer projects back to the cronies in their district. We got multiple political families with their hands in a multi billion dollar cookie jar grifting as hard and as fast as they can
