Not sure. Todays generation cares about money and look at me. Little else.

Lou Holt’s summed it up best when asked about todays players versus those when he started coaching.

"Simple. Today's athletes talk about rights and privileges and the players 50 years ago talked about obligations and responsibilities."

I do agree with that but the program was toxic since 2019, gonna take some time to get back to that point. We will see how good of a coach he really is this season. We have some nice pieces to compete

Kids these days is a hard sell. I’m sure the ppl as old to Lou Holtz as him to today’s kids looked down on him just the same. Just for slightly different reasons.

Lou Holtz is arguably a zero character guy… Left programs under investigation and under sanctions. Threw games in his initial season at south carolina so he brag about a huge turnaround second season. And now makes a small fortune on the lecture circuit talking ‘character’
