I went to the Magnificent mile in Chicago a few weeks back. The high end stores all had multiple officers in then. Neiman Marcus had at least six Chicago pd and two door security.
In NYC now and all the shops have a guard. Hudson Yard they have a door man on all the luxury shops.
Security has been beefed up lately at shops. LA needs to follow suit.
