You are not lying, this whole Houston is cheap crap is just that, BS. I live in one of the most expensive areas in LA outside NewO, Mand/Cov, and it is cheap compared Houston by a lot.

15.9¢/kWh is the best I could do through Amigo.
I compared 10 or so different plans/companies using the Facts Sheets and my previous years usage data. You have to look at the details in the contract and do the math using your usages or you’ll get hammered for not meeting the minimum usage requirements in winter.
Increases my bill about $40/month until I can get a lower rate, which you can do at any time in the future with a current contract. Hoping the price drops down to 11 - 12 in the winter for a better rate.

What good is a fixed rate if they can still change it at anytime? Am I reading this correctly?
Type of Product Fixed Rate
Do I have an early termination fee or any fees
associated with terminating service? The amount of the Early Termination Fee will be $200
13.99¢ 19.7¢ 18.3¢
The Average Price Disclosure is an example that is calculated using the Energy Price, the Base Charge (if applicable) and
the Transmission and Distribution Utility’s (TDU) recurring delivery charges in effect for your monthly billing cycle. Your
average price for electricity service will vary according to your usage. Prices exclude state and local taxes, PUC
assessment, and gross receipts reimbursement, if applicable.
1. Base Charge $4.89 per billing cycle
Can my price change during the contract period? Yes
If my price can change, how will it change and by
how much?
The price can change if there are changes in the TDU charges, fees
imposed by ERCOT, or changes in law or regulatory charges.
