Why is the MS Abortion Clinic Closing?

It’s all about providing women with lifesaving healthcare, and they’ll still be able to provide abortions to rape victims and expectant mothers whose lives are at risk. The media tells me these situations happen all the time. The clinic owner says she cares about women and they should have the right to this form of healthcare.
So why will she apparently close the clinic?

AG Lynn Fitch certifies ‘trigger law’; Mississippi abortions to be illegal in 10 days

This will make abortions in Mississippi illegal in ten days. Mississippi is one of 13 states with a trigger law in place. There are two exceptions in the law: protection of the life of the mother, and rape when there’s a formal charge.

“The law in Mississippi says we have ten days to remain in business from the moment the Attorney General signs the certification,” explained Diane Derzis, owner of Jackson Women’s Health. “[...] So that means that we will be open for the next 10 days, and we will be seeing patients for the next 10 days.”

This will have unintended consequences, imo.

JFC, this is the dumbest thing i've ever seen. The GOP in SEC states have gone full retard.

They are obviously lying about the percentage...abortion likely represents 93% of their business.

Will be interesting to see how many accusations are made a month or two after the fact when she realizes she’s pregnant.
Of course, wrapping it up or just abstaining would largely eliminate the risk of being falsely accused of rape.

+50% of Planned Parenthood’s revenue comes from abortion.
If you lose the majority of your revenue, most businesses are going to struggle.

quote:I was talking about the Ms Abortion Clinic. It's different than PP. I wouldn't trust PP's books if you threw them down in front of me. I would bet there is comingling of the monies and without doubt, some of the fed money goes towards abortions which is against the law.

Fun reminder that "Roe" herself tried a false rape claim, before suing to abort

Maybe, baws should just have sex with their wives instead of loose whores at the bar.

I’m confused as well. Remember when the money they were funneled from Dem bills was absolutely, positively, in no way, zero chance, used for abortions. It was for “other” things. *wink wink*
I mean if you remove treating… say the flu… from a clinic, they don’t close. So if we were told the truth.. they should have all kinds of things to do besides abortions.
Right libs?

Don't they want to provide "healthcare" anymore?
Posted on 6/27/22 at 3:30 pm to Diamondawg
They do all of the 3,000 abortions that take place in Mississippi? They’re the only clinic so I assume so.
