Chevron Corp. plans to sell its campus in the San Francisco Bay area and give employees the option of moving to Houston in the latest business migration to Texas.

The second-largest US oil explorer will lease new office space in San Ramon, California, and maintain its corporate headquarters in the Golden State where it’s been located for more than 140 years, according to a statement Friday.

Chevron already has its biggest US presence in downtown Houston, where it occupies the former Enron building, and follows in the footsteps of Caterpillar Inc., Tesla Inc. and Oracle Corp. in shifting significant numbers of employees to the Lone Star state. Earlier this year, Exxon Mobil Corp. announced plans to move its corporate headquarters from suburban Dallas to the Houston area.

Why not move the headquarters? They’re still gonna get slammed with those California corporate taxes.

Big oil employees. They’ll feel right at home in Houston.

I don't think so. It will be interesting to see if Hispanics keep trending right. That would make Texas more red.

Pelosi and Schumer would be overseeing the wall construction if that happens.

After the inevitable balkanization

The progressives will have Pedowood, news networks, and the tech industry

The conservatives will have oil and gas, food production, and guns

You’re thinking of the city of Houston. Harris County was red until Obama.

She should leave. And she should get as many abortions in California as she possibly can if it makes her feel better.
