SIAP - Steam summer sale is on.

I'm taking a hard look at finally trying out Cyperpunk. I went to the "can I run it" site and verified that my rig is capable and it meets all requirements. Worth it at half price?

Haven't played it since its first few weeks but it's by far the most graphicly ridiculous game I've ever seen.
They've only worked to fix it up since then too. I plan to go back soon.

Honestly, at this point, it's worth it at full price. But yes, it's definitely worth it at 50% off.

I liked it on day one at full price. I've played 5 times. Full completion 4 times. After the latest big patch was my last playthrough.
My one tip is to play on the hardest setting or by the end of the game it will be a cake walk. Especially if you sink 20 points into hacking.
The last patch did make the early game a little bit harder but end game is still easy if you clear the map like I do. Someone who quickly runs through the short questline might have a different opinion on difficulty.

I actually think there is a bit of a balance issue with quick hacking. I’m a walking fricking god with 99% of enemies, and then I’ll run into someone like a high end cyber psycho who is god damned immune to System Reset and I have to chip away at them with short circuit and overheat while hiding like a little bitch.

I didn't have that problem but along with high hacking, I max craft so if the hacking isn't working, my weapons take over. Usually about halfway into the game I limit hacking and start using guns and assault rifles.

I tend to play rpg as a glass canon mage. It almost becomes a point of pride that I never need to use conventional weapons. So when I do due to some bullshite immunity, I get particularly annoyed

I still do, but not really because the sales are great at this point, because they almost never are. But every once in a while, I'll have a "oh frick, I did kinda always want to play that..." moment when I browse the list.
