Love watching him battle in this big game today. LSU needs to go get some bulldog pitchers like him. Used to always have guys like him on the staff when we were winning national championships.

First time watching baseball? It’s a pitcher that battles harder when people get on base and knows how to escape trouble. Gets tougher as the game gets more intense

Seems like any really good pitcher would be a bulldog pitcher then

Nola
Lange
Big Ben
Coleman
Renaudo
Etc

Not at all. I would definitely put Nola Lange
and Coleman in the category.
Big Ben was just physically overpowering. I would call a bulldog pitcher a more mentally overpowering type of pitcher. Like Greg Maddox was.

Sounds like an extremely vague and easily manipulated concept

Solid post

Big Ben was really holding those teams back . Pitching 50 innings in a regional to beat the best regular season college team of all time wasnt bulldog, just overpowering stuff

This guy gets it! It’s like there are posters on here that have never heard the term used in baseball before in their life. Amazing

Pedro for sure. Keep watching baseball. You’ll hear the term used by former players and managers. Maybe one day you will understand it
