Why do you think tennis players grunt? There is empirical evidence it increases power.

That being said grunting and dropping depends on the gym and its rules of decorum. A general fitness gym like PF with mainly cardio and machines grunts and drops are generally frowned upon and I think that is fine. Mainly free weight gyms or rooms grunting and dropping are expected. Crossfit Boxes grunting and dropping are damn near required. In the video in the OP it seems like a gym that allows a reasonable level of lunking, while I view setting up the camera for a vanity lift as being a douche such is life today.
