Actually, since I followed right along in MY Bible, you haven’t proven anything.

Careful handling those snakes. I hear they get nasty if you drop them.

Hey here’s this old book, let’s spend hours and hours misinterpreting every word and use it to tell others why they are doomed to hell unless they join our club.

I don’t tell anybody they’re doomed to Hell.

See, one of the things I learned FROM THE BIBLE is that who goes to Hell isn’t MY call to make.

Again, why would I ask Mary when I could just ask the guy who sent his Son to die as a sacrifice to atone for my sins? He seems like a pretty generous fellow. Not sure why I need an intercessor.

Do you ask people to pray for you? Do you pray for others?

Forget any hope for positive change. I believe the Catholic Church has become too political.

Not just political, but Leftist. And woke. The next Pope will be another South American or an African, and he’ll be another Liberation Theology type.

Out of all the arguments Protestants have this is the worst one.

Not only is He generous, but He is also all-knowing. Therefore, you don't have to ask Him for shite - he already knows what you want.

More importantly He knows exactly what I need and when I need it. God isn’t some big wizard in the sky who grants favors based on prayers.

It is run by Democratic Filth so what do you think could possibly happen other than that?

No, not really. If they offer to, I won’t turn it down. But I don’t really believe they can move the needle with God for me. He already knows exactly what will happen at every moment in my life.

If they ask me to, sure. It requires very little effort on my part and likely makes them feel supported in whatever struggle they are currently experiencing. It’s something easy that can let people going through a tough time know that I care about them. I doubt God says “hold on a minute, Grandma Shirley was about to die from pancreatic cancer but tigercross prayed on her behalf so I’ll put her in remission”. I pray for God to grant peace, wisdom, and understanding that the things that happen to/around us are part of His plan.

The worst argument. Literally the most listened to podcast in the world is a Catholic priest reading the Bible.

Why yes. As a matter of fact, they are.

“Catholics don’t read the Bible” is a straight-up lie. It’s rooted in ignorance, and frankly, I have to question the motivations of anyone who spreads it.

You obviously know NOTHING about Catholicism. Being Catholic and having wonderful Catholic priest friends is the greatest blessing in my life. Jesus is amazing.

Well that is a lie, Catholics go through the Bible (all the books, not just the main ones)in mass every 3 years.

No catholic is saying you can't pray to God or Jesus. Asking (not praying) a Saint for intercession is like asking a friend to pray for you. But that friend is closer to God.

The Sabbath is still on Saturday. Christians who choose to work on Saturday and not dedicate it to God are going against God's Commandment.

I would also argue that Catholics keep this better than most protestants as the vigil Mass starts Sat evening as the Sabbath would in the time of Jesus

Was God a "frick up" because Adam and Eve betrayed Him?

Were the 12 apostles a "frick up" because Judas betrayed Christ?

don’t even understand, why we’re so consumed about a Catholic pope. Wtf does he have to do with anything, other than Catholic Church stuff. We treat him likes he’s a government official or something.

I know right. It's like Vatican City is its own country and the Pope is the head of that country.

Isn't it weird how the Churches that can trace their lineage to the Apostles (Catholic, Orthodox, Coptic) all believe in the intercession of the saints and the Churches that were started by heretics 500 years ago don't?
