BTW: The Catholic church was started by The Blessed Mother. When her SON Yeshua ascended, SHE was given a choice to ascend also. SHE decided to stay and form the church with the apostles. Peter was the first Vicar/Pope

As a Christian reading through this thread is painful. God doesn’t want believers to bicker and argue like this. It’s time to set aside any differences and encourage one another, not tear each other’s faith apart.
Recall the story of the apostles that reported back to Jesus that there were others preaching and healing in His name that weren’t part of their “group”. What was Jesus’ response?

You know, the way it actually works. In case no one ever explained it to you.
Why would I pray to Mary when I could just pray to God? Does he prioritize requests that come through Mary? Does that mean there are saints I could pray to who are lower on the totem pole than Mary?
The God I believe in hears everyone's prayers and doesn't play favorites based on which saint you asked to intercede.

To assume that Jesus’ relationship with his mother is any different than with your mother is ridiculous. She carried him in her womb for nine months, breast feed him, helped him grow up, watched him tortured, held him after he died.

You’ve never heard of a child going to his mother to ask his father for something on their behalf? That’s an intercession. “Mom, can you ask dad if I can go to the party on Friday night?” That’s what Mary does when she asks for things for us. But unlike our requests, hers are presented differently because of who she is.
Mother’s Day is the most popular holiday in America. Why? We love our mothers. How many of us can say no to our mothers, when they ask something of us?
So if Mary goes to her son Jesus with a petition, how often do you think he says no?
Mary’s entire being pointed toward Jesus. She doesn’t diminish or take away from Him. To act like she is some run of the mill person is an insult to Jesus. It’s saying he is run of the mill too, it presumes he was created inside a fallible, sinful, ordinary human.
The Catholic Church teaches Mary is special BECAUSE Jesus is special. Mary is the Mother of God BECAUSE Jesus is God. Everything the church says about Mary is BECAUSE of Jesus, not because of Mary. So we HONOR Mary (not worship, which is reserved for God), because she is the mother of Jesus, who is God.
