I'm a little out of the loop, but does anyone know of a place to search for potentially interested players.

you'll have to pull the drummer away from his 5 other bands

Go to open jams. The guys who are playing good are likely in six bands each. Ask them who do they know that's just as good and is only in like one or two bands.

If anyone knows where to find a keyboard player with jazz chops in northeast Louisiana, hit a brother up.

Best places are facebook musician groups, craigslist, live shows, and blues jams/open mics.

Screw it. Slight hijack. Where do you guys find people to play with? Practice and play with.
Not looking to stumble into a true band setting with guys trying to possibly earn a living.
Just recreational players who are better than me (not hard). I’m at the level where the only people I want to show how to play should be children or absolute beginners.

What genre/style of music are you trying to play?

Putting together a power 3, with some southern flare. I have to find 2 guys before I can make list.
I would like to play fairs and festivals... Not career band stuff.

I'd kill just to find a singer. I've resigned to playing every other instrument myself. None of the old standbys (Craigslist, et al) seem to be very active anymore.

I’m a drummer with hundreds of stage hours and weekend warrior is the height of my aspirations. Haven’t been able to find a group since I got back into playing. Took a few years off for my family and all and also moved out here to AP from the Lafayette area
What age group you looking for?

You'll find them holding hands with Bigfoot, chasing a unicorn through Atlantis

Age Group? Where are you out of?
I'm thinking middle age, weekend warrior players. Play around BR... down 1-10, but really thinking festivals.
Southern Jangle? but we could hit alt country, rockabilly, rework some old southern rock stuff to fit a trio.
How can we get in touch outside of the board?

I’m 37, P’ville
I’ll make a dummy email or something and post back with info. Don’t want to give my info out here as I’m sure you don’t either.
I’m a rocker at heart but most of my time on stage was with a blues band so I’m good with just about anything
