Al Gore ran out of legal options and then stopped fighting. Trump brought nothing of substance to court, so each lame suit was thrown out. But he kept on whipping people into a frenzy and breathlessly putting forth new theories each week.
Neither Gore nor Hillary were graceful about it, with both grumbling for years about getting screwed, but neither tried to short circuit the system like Trump did.
ETA: Hillary cheated and lied, committing acts similar to Watergate, imo.

People want a leader, not an arse (regardless of his accomplishments). He was such an arse that we got freakin’ Joe Biden - the worst, poorest choice there was - elected.
I blame all of this on Trump’s weakness - his ego. One larger than the country he serves.
