Seems more and more like a good option now.

What would be a country of choice for you guys if you were to move?

When I look at countries, I factor in climate, health care, cost of living, and English language.

Any thoughts or helpful information?

Thanks!

It depends on whether you will live retired or will continue working. But personally I would consider:

Costa Rica, Ecuador, Belize, or San Juan del Sur (beach), Nicaragua. I hear that Dominican Rep. is nice.

Are you retired, able to work at your job that remotely, or thinking you will just find a good job wherever (whats your field)?

I'm 29, I work in Computer Science field, so I can find a remote job easily. Also, I'd prefer English speaking, it'll be hard to learn a language and move at same time.

Obviously, I have a few countries in mind.

Philippines, Belize, Malaysia, Vietnam, New Zealand.

New Zealand seems like a pretty chill place and if any major wars break out nobody will bother the Kiwis. Also pretty damn isolated from the rest of the world minus Australia and their people are consistently considered some of the happiest on the planet

We are seriously considering this also. We’ve traveled extensively in the south of Spain. Andalusia is awesome and very affordable.

Practically and not pie in the sky type destinations?

The UK or the EU. Probably the most realistic areas where I could find a job (and a visa).

Forgot to mention that my cousin moved to Lisbon, Portugal early this year and he loves it there. The cheapest country of all Western Europe in both real estate and cost of living.

You will be coding porn sites. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just a heads up.

That's another country that may be on my list, haven't gotten around to looking at it though. Will definitely check it out. Thanks!
