I agree with him and he's dead on, and the list of public figures / celebrities is obviously much higher for leftist causes than conservative ones. But I wish we could keep politics out of sports.
I will say this is a lot better than Kerr using his podium before a major playoff game to shriek incoherently.

Not really. Bruce has always been pretty political on his twitter, especially around Isreal issues. This isn't anything new for him.
