Kurt McCune wasn't "weekend material" either. At some point, you have to stop making excuses and develop a few guys. The fact that we didn't have an option better than Dutton at the end of the season is sad.

Okay. Does that mean he was incapable of pitching? Did he re-aggravate the injury during the year?

Floyd started throwing his breaking ball more consistently in his last few appearances, but it should not have taken him that long to get there. If we get April/June Floyd and February/March Money all year we would be talking. Obviously that didnt happen. This was a very odd year for our pitching staff. I'm just not buying the "we have no arm talent" argument.
