Family is headed to Mexico in a couple of weeks. Someone told me that you can get test to take with you, then you zoom call in while you take them a day before you fly back. Anyone done this? Any company you recommend to order the tests from? TIA

Yes you need to check into which tests are proctored online and accepted by the US. One thing I have heard is once you purchase the proper test DO NOT open the box until the proctor instructs you to. On the other hand most destinations are helping Americans to get tested at their hotel/home/condo for convenience. It's a way to make a little bit of money for the tester and no hassle for the traveler. Just make sure you check your test brand for compliance.

LINK

You can use your HSA to make the purchase and your health insurance will reimburse you $12 per test

Just used delta fly ready recently.
Wasn't too bad.

On the recent trips with covid before you fly policy.
Spain was stupid quick
Ireland was quite a wait but ok.
Mexico got a little confusing. But not bad.
