Berry is overrated. He is a liability in the field and can’t believe they are saying he is top 5 pick. There is nowhere to put him.

I agree honestly. His bat is legit but a top 5 pick is either a 5 tool player or a top notch pitcher. I’d take Crews 10 times before I would take Berry once.

If he makes the majors he won’t have been overrated

He doesn’t have to be “put” anywhere. There’s a universal DH in the MLB, where he will be playing in 3 years (at the latest).

He hit .400 in conference play and is taking left handed swings for the first time in a month, and swings in general for the first time in 2 weeks.

He only hit over .400 in SEC play. The dude broke a hand. Come on.

Both leagues having a DH now really helps him. That’s his spot being a solid switch hitter.

Nope not new at all. If a team wastes a top five pick on a DH they are nuts.

He won’t need a glove at the professional level.

Yordan Alvarez just got a 6 year/115 million dollar contract as a DH.

That is Jacob Berry’s potential.

These reactive people on here tonight have no clue what they’re talking about regarding Berry. Like you said the dude is swinging left handed for the first time in a month and probably still has a bum middle finger on his right hand.

He only batted nearly .400 in SEC play and if he hadn’t been out with a hand injury he’d most likely be hitting around .400 with 20 or so homers just like Crews.

Yes, Crews is a different talent all together but to say Berry isn’t a high 1st round pick this year in the draft is asinine.

No that would be freshman all American and 2 time all SEC defensive team Tre’ Morgan, widely considered a top first basemen in college baseball and a projected first round pick in next years draft.
