Is it not clear to them that the path to success is to run Desantis and have Trump run for a Florida House seat? Trump would be a much more effective speaker of the house.

At this point their path to success is just show up and don’t rape children. Wouldn’t be surprised if they frick it up though.

You don't have to hold office to be Speaker of the House.

Your mistake is thinking recucklincan brass wants to win. They don’t want to actually do anything to help their base, they only act as though they’re trying to stop the democrats, but in reality they are on the same team.
Anytime a trump or MTG or freedom caucus surfaces, the party leaders do everything in their power to derail the movement bc they don’t want actual grass root politics, they want their own version of barely better than the democrats plan. They are captured

Honestly just don’t say or do anything stupid. With where the economy is heading, 2022 and especially 2024 should be big for republicans.
