OT warmongers, this doesn’t interest you. Ghost of Kyiv is still shooting down 15 MiGs A Day, Putin is dying, yada yada yada.
For others...
Glenn Greenwald
@ggreenwald
Yesterday's WPost article on how Ukrainian volunteers/recruits are fleeing their positions, surviving on 1 potato a day, then getting arrested for speaking to media about their reality, is horrific.
The only moral course is seeking a diplomatic solution

Western media all but refused to acknowledge Russian advances for the first 3 months of this war, bombarding everyone with a relentless narrative about feisty Ukrainians kicking their arse.
Now reality is emerging, as it eventually does with war, the propaganda slowly eroding.

Replying to @ggreenwald
Wait, are you talking about Ukraine 2022, or Czechoslovakia 1938?

While fights are raging over school curricula, I'd like to offer my own proposal: events be taught in History Class other than Germany's invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1938 so that Americans understand not every event can be understood through this prism.

We've moved on the school shooters and abolishing the 2nd Amendment. We may circle back to Ukraine later.

Leave politics to the politicians Greenwald. What we want from you is God Bless the USA.

NATO vs Russia: What Happens Next
PEPE ESCOBAR
Russia is moving on to other things.
Talks about leaving the Bologna system have been going on in Russia since the beginning of the year
Masters and bachelors are going to be canceled. It will be like in the USSR again: go to university and study for five years. Most of the experts we interviewed applaud this innovation. But there are questions, and the main one is what about the Unified State Exam? First, take a guess test at school, and then-full-fledged entrance exams at the university?

If these got posted in the OT thread I think a few of the folks there would spontaneously combust

Yeah the very well crafted Ukrainian propaganda machine had people fooled for sure. It's easy to spot and see right through it like a piece of hard rock candy.

He might pay attention to Finland which is reporting that the Russian garrisons near the Finnish border are empty. Also, that 80% of Russia's combat ready military is in Ukraine Then there are the T-62's now being shipped via train to fill in for the depleted tank force. Oh these are the ones used to sporadically train their reserves.

Almost every single military action the us has taken part in since 1945 has been an embarrassing, pathetic failure.

He's that reporter on the scene but from Brazil. The only thing he reports on is what he is reading online.

Has anyone watched the Oliver Stone movie Ukraine on Fire? I have a Ukrainian friend who recommended it to me. I watched it a couple of days ago and I had to verify when it was produced, because it was like watching a repeat of the summer of 2020.
As far as I can determine, it was made in 2016. I know Stone is a bit of a nutter, but this movie is so true it’s scary.
Here’s a link for anyone interested.

The OT thread perfectly encapsulates how neoconservatism has infected the American left the last 7 years. Donald Trump's relatively dovish foreign policy has turned people who used to claim to be anti-war into worshippers of Bill Kristol and the rest of the Bush neocons. And many of these folks are the same people who want to take your guns, but they'll willingly send your tax dollars abroad to arm Ukrainians.

So the Netflix actor prime minister isn’t their saving grace and is lying? Who would of thought

That doesn’t not sound like $40B in aid.
You’d think they could afford TWO potatoes for the volunteer army.
Where did all the money go?

according to the OT war thread Russia is losing on all fronts. Next month Russia will seize to exist and their whole military destroyed.
