I know it's two different types of slides but I immediately thought of the ending of the first Major League movie, when Willie Mays Hayes slid into home.

Glove 100% touches his shirt before his hand touches the base. Does that make him out?

What the tv commentators failed say in all of their analysis of the replay was that the official had by far the absolute best view of the play. He literally was right on top of it, in that he was directly above it. Yet they complained that the official was in their way, lol. He was right where he should have been to make the correct call.

I believe I see Crews flex his chest muscles to avoid the tag, thus making his own jersey ruffle as the glove misses him.

Was a thing of beauty. He is an incredible player and most teams can’t stop him.

If you pause the video and slide through frame by frame.... i have him out unfortunately. IMO you can see the glove brushing his chest and the jersey rippling because of it.

Stole an important out, scored an important run, and eliminated their head coach with a slide.

I think it’s clear he isn’t tagged till after his hand touches home plate. That’s why it was confirmed and not call stands. Even if he was called out at home they would have reversed it. They confirmed he wasn’t tagged in time.

So with the tag……….does any part of the glove touch him and he is out? Or does it need to be full glove tag out? Because the edge of the glove obviously brushes the jersey first but the full tag was after.

Safe. There was no conclusive evidence to overturn that call.
