Well aren't you the good little Nazi.

I agree. frick your rights. It would be a shame if you were thrown in prison, without due process, and forgotten about.

Because, according to you, rights don't matter. May you one day be on the negative receiving end of that sentiment.

Was just talking to my wife about this. It is a multi faceted problem, the mental health system is a failure, society isn’t raising kids the way they used to, technology is exposing children to violence and radicalization in ways older generations never had to deal with. When I was a kid (82 graduate) we weren’t exposed to the violence kids are exposed to these days, video games, YouTube, TV, and movies all have a spot at the large table of blame.

Take all the above and throw in the ability to easily obtain (legally and illegally) high capacity fire arms and you have fire. I am a staunch 2A supporter and don’t think guns are the problem here, but combined with the other factors listed above, we have a problem.

Instead of sky screaming about guns we should focus on the other contributing factors where we might actually be able to make a difference.

That's hard. Much easier to just ban guns and then tweet about it to your progressive friends.

Easy answer. The problem is we don’t have enough guns in schools. We need armed tactical officers-plural-along with arming the teachers and students above the fourth grade. Make gun safety part of physical education.

These people are not afraid of death. Public executions just give them more publicity.

Bingo. As I said earlier, there is no faster way to immortality and fame in this country than to shoot up a school.

Yep, ban guns completely and let’s all see how that works out for everyone.

I swear, some people can’t see the forest for the trees. Not talking about you Centinel

2 things…first raise the age to buy a gun to 21. Second, if your kid swipes your gun and kill’s someone else you as the parent spend a month in jail.

Better mental healthcare.

Can you explain this in more detail?

Should we medicate them? Lock them up? How do you make a psychopath not a psychopath?

You can go full on socialist where everyone just gets pushed to the bottom. Do away with material things. Only the ruling elite would have this stuff. And you would have to confiscate all weapons.

It would lead to a civil war and mass killings, but you’d eventually just have a soulless obedient populace.

Imagine for a minute 1950s americana society. Men wore hats. Women wore dresses. There were no other genders. Formality, and manners were expected. Personally responsibility was required. Bad behavior was shunned and punished.

Now look around today. Almost none of those things exist.

In the ordered society of the past… the mentally ill, the threatening people thst could not fit into civilized society stood out. They were obvious. They could be helped.

But in todays society, the people that cannot behave civilly… do not stand out. They can easily hide amongst those of us who can. Our culture enables them to do so. We don’t want to “judge” anyone. We mist be “tolerant” of everything—except white men and Christians.

Our culture is rotting. Character does matter.

This 100000000000%! I have an 18yo nephew who has paranoid schizophrenia. My sister has been getting him mental health for years; however, she can't get him committed because it would cost over $7,000 a week out of her pocket. No one can afford that. She's already spending $2.5K a month out of pocket for his meds. He's a danger. They sleep with their door locked and bared and all the knives in the house locked up. He should be in an institute, not walking the streets. The police are well aware of him, but they say they can't do anything until he does. I know of 2 other people who have the same issues in their families. The system won't do anything, the insurance companies deny coverage, and the families can't afford the cost of the care.

The same progressive chucklefricks that say “ExPaNd MeNtaL HeaLtH” don’t get that though decisions have to be made to take these people off the streets. It’s the same reason they want to let all the prisoners out of jail.

They think you can just be nice and talk to someone and convince them not to be a paranoid schizophrenic or a criminal. Progressives are dumb as shite.

Everyone in here who is saying we need to focus on mental health and leans left fails to realize they wouldn’t like what that outcome means.

Harsh punishment is not the answer, they don’t care if they live or die. They are no different than suicide bombers.

More stupid gun laws are not the answer. Bootleg guns are as easy to get as weed. You can literally CNC a complete ar15 in your garage with less than a grand worth of equipment. Imagine the black market for these.

Besides, if he couldn’t get a gun he may well have mowed down a bunch of kids driving a truck. Guns are just one of many means to kill.

Better mental health? Maybe but would better therapy have stopped this guy from shooting?

In my opinion, these things happen where people are unarmed. The ability to shoot back severely hampers these things. That church shooting in Texas was different than this. Why? People shot back.

Israel learned this lesson back in the 70s and 80s. The teachers are trained to defend their children. It works.

Armed Israeli teachers.

Should it be like this?
No.

Is it going to stop anytime soon?
No.

It’s ugly in a way that hard to describe. Our culture has a disease.

If there was zero doubt that the left wouldn’t push it even farther than registering guns, you can kill anyone caught with an illegal weapons for all I give a shite. The problem is that the left will never stop pushing.
