Frankly (and I read them through Executive Orders), these are the best and the only with real long-term value/re-readability. Cardinal, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger were all fun. Sum of All Fears had its moments, but I felt he was running out of things to say. Debt of Honor and Executive Orders were slogs (overall, they did have their moments as well).

Red Storm is the best - I basically read that over a long weekend in undergrad, in 4 or 5 sittings. A page turner with my highest recommendation for a standalone novel.

How many times can someone make a crucial confession under interrogation while under anesthesia?

This needs to be a true-to-book miniseries in the worst way.
