Player Compensation - Where do you stand?

I see a lot of viewpoints expressed on this board about NIL in particular and player compensation in general. They seem to run the gamut of emotions, but I'd like to better analyze the bases for the opinions concerning player compensation. Please choose the option which best matches your opinion.
A. Tuition+ - Players should not be compensated other than tuition, room, board, and the usual perks of being a major college athlete (academic assistance, athletic assistance, marketing assistance, improved room and board options, etc.)
B. Tuition+ plus FMV NIL - Option A plus FMV of their actual NIL. (No Texas A&M NIL pool.)
C. Capped Limited Salary - Players receive Option B plus each team has a payroll of $2 million for its players.
D. Capped Revenue Sharing - Players receive Option B plus players receive a fixed percentage of their conference revenue. For example, if the SEC has total revenue of $420 million and players receive a 40% revenue share, each team has a payroll of $12 million for its players.
E. Unlimited - If someone will pay it, the player should be able to receive it.

Don’t think any salary cap will work, can’t really put a cap on NIL. Usual suspects will pay extra under the table anyways.

The NFL should rescind the age requirements and this would largely be a non issue

I would like them to start by reimplementing the one year sit out for transferring and see if that helps at all.

I honestly love that players can finally get paid. They deserve it. The main issue is the lack of regulation with NIL where boosters/collectives are paying for players instead of utilizing their Name/Image/Likeness. You can argue they are paying for their name to be on the team, but it's still not what I think the intention was. The combination of this with the transfer portal that allows players one free transfer without sitting out has changed college sports forever.
The NCAA sat on their hands for the last 20 years when it was obviously heading this direction instead of waiting until it was too late to do anything about it. If there's anyone to be upset with, it's the NCAA.

Why not a farm league that isn't collegiate sports.

I really don't care unless it impacts the product on the field.

"A" only,PERIOD!!!! Don't pay students for sports.

You cannot pay athletes as employees not from the University. Title IX would make it impossible.

Pit it all in one pot by sport. Pay everyone same thing. Simple a that.

I don’t really care if players get NIL. What really bugs me is the tampering going on and the open transfer portal. These NIL groups need to start putting non-compete clauses in their contracts, like nearly every contract in this country that involves endorsements, etc. there also needs to be portal windows.

Best case scenario, it will work itself out in the next two years. The problem is, the NCAA refused to see this coming. The Ed O'Bannon suit that started all of this was filed in 2009. They had 11 years to head this off (not to mention the precursor of 40 plus years of astronomical amounts of money coming in due to TV revenue) and chose to kick it down the road and let the courts and individual states call the shots regarding NIL. Once that was done, the NCAA essentially neutered itself and is now starting from square one as it relates to regulation.
What will likely happen is, booster donations will start decreasing at the school level as it increases at the player level. At that point, the people with the REAL money (the conferences and their schools) will get legislation and/or an NIL sanctioning body enacted to get things (and their money) under control.
The whole situation sucks. This is pure capitalism, but in its current state, its on the verge of ruining the current business model of college football, and thereby destroying its beneficiaries (the players) from within.

Seriously? This isn't the NBA. 10% would be more like it. If that.

What we have now is completely unprecedented and unsustainable. No league had complete wild Wild West style free agency like modern college football. Saban said it best, this is not what NIL was meant for, it was so a guy could release a rap video and make money, or sign an autograph as an established player. Not this pay for play bullshite.
