My wife and I are huge TBBT fans. One thing that we've noticed is how these friends really screw each other over. Many of them are so bad that normal people could not remain friends.

Sheldon was the king of screw jobs but they all had their moments.

I'd have to say my top is when Sheldon hid their Bitcoin on Leonard's flash-drive which he lost costing them a fortune....that's the makings of an arse-whipping.

Was that the show about Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman? Personally, I thought Buddy Rich made that show.

We are doing a rewatch and in season 3, Shelton tells the FBI about Wolowitz getting the mars rover stuck costing him his government clearance.

Even with Shelton not realizing what he does isn't social norm or hurtful, I would have decked him. Of course I wouldn't have gotten the Rover stuck either.

Yeah, BTC was up to $5k when the episode aired. Now it's consistently around $40k.

The Bitcoin was at least accidental. He was “trying teach them a lesson”. He couldn’t have known that Leonard would lose the flash drive. But yes, still unacceptable.

These are two that get me:

1) Not necessarily a screw-over, but one episode that bothered me was when Will Wheaton volunteered to be a guest host of Fun With Flags. Amy was a complete and total bitch to him and wrongfully over criticizing him, and then she expects Sheldon to take her side. It was a very out of character moment that doesn’t sit well with me.

2) For all of Sheldon’s craziness whether intentional or not, one that was a total intentional dick move was when he spoiled some Harry Potter book that Leonard just started reading. Leonard was legit pissed and wanted to move out and rightfully told Sheldon that “if I would have done that to you, you would have been pissed off for weeks”. It’s true.

Anyway , yeah those are 2 incidents that really bothered me

Will Wheaton

You know..Will Wheaton had a few dick moves. He broke Penny and Leonard up just to beat Sheldon at Bowling. His "dead grandmother" lie to beat Sheldon when he had him dead to rights in a fantasy card game was another one...

irrelevant. sheldon was clearly on the spectrum. they just didn't want to admit it officially. The love for trains was pretty much the guaranteed proof.

as far as screwing each other, it's a show. without them screwing each other, there wouldn't be much to laugh about.

The first few seasons were so much better than the last ones

It was so vibrant and colorful and eventually turned so dark and drab with the color schemes

If you analyze most sitcoms too much you realize the only they work as "sitcom friends" is for them to be objectively terrible human beings.

Scrubs might be the lone exception.

Sheldon had a line in one of the episodes that every time I hear it in one of the reruns it makes my blood boil if I were to put myself in the shoes of who he said it to. I legitimately think if he would’ve said that to me I might’ve acted on pure instinct and just knocked some of his teeth out.

Somebody said something about Leonard’s job, and Sheldon said something like, “He already has a job. Catering to my every whim”

Like bruh. That’s asking for an arse kicking
