Going to DR in June. Do I have to get tested by a clinic or something in the DR or can I bring my own tests and do it myself?

You can bring your own as long as you have an appointment with the test manufacturer to monitor the test remotely, and they send you a test confirmation basically on the spot.

These people work well: LINK

These look like the free test that the Biden administration was sending out. Wondering if these are exact same and can be used, all you need is to buy the service?

The kit linked above says the proctor verification service can only be used with the test kits they sell.

I have no idea about the DR, but I just go to a clinic within 24 hours and within an hour they email me a QR code. Some countries even have testing centers at the airport so you can do it before your flight.

I’ve done several trips back to the states. At home Abbott test has worked. Self administered test from your hotel room via laptop camera.

First trip was back from Maldives in November. Changed the dates on the PDF and it worked coming back from France a few weeks ago.

My suggestion. Take the test before you leave from home. Change the dates for whatever you need it to say. No reason to schedule a test in a foreign country and risk quarantine.

We are going all inclusive in DR in June.

Our resort offers testing included with stay for our return to the US. From what i seen, most resorts/hotels offer in house testing because of the return requirements.

Cool thanks everyone. I’ll check on my resort first and then those others if they don’t provide. We’re staying all inclusive as well.

eMed. Takes 15 minutes on a video call certifying your self test. Do it from your hotel room.

I’ve never done this before, obviously, so I’m a little unclear. What do you get from the tester? Emailed pdf? Seems odd they’d allow it to be editable? So you schedule a test with the tester at home, they send you a pdf of the negative results and you change the dates?

That is exactly correct. They watch you take the test and verify you are negative. You get an email with negative test which you can convert to pdf. You would need adobe editor or whatever it’s called to edit data.

Has anyone used the NAVICA app? I’ve got 3 different free government tests but not sure they can even be used.
