Instant Pots are becoming very popular. They're available everywhere. There are different models and features available. There are several YouTube videos of people cooking food items with Instant Pots. I have friends who use them all the time. To me it basically looks like an electric pressure cooker. I'm trying to decide if I want to purchase one. Does anyone here use an Instant Pot? I searched and have not seen this topic on the Food Forum yet. Any discussion/feedback/recommendations would be welcome. Thank you in advance.

I have a Ninja Foodi that is a combo air fryer and pressure cooker. We use it every day basically. Highly recommend it

I love mine. Probably my most-used kitchen appliance.

It gets meat so tender, and I don't have to slave for hours over dinner because it cooks so quickly.

I also love the fact that I can cook everything in one pot so I'm not dirtying a bunch of dishes, and it has blue-tooth so I can monitor the progress on my phone from a different room.

Highly recommend.

I rarely use mine, but I am trying to get better about it. It is a great gadget.. I just usually like to dedicate the day to cooking in a traditional Dutch oven when I'm doing something slow braised. I don't really have a *need* to cook a pot roast in an hour on a weeknight, so the appeal of the Instant Pot isn't really in that area for me.

That said, it is great for quickly cooking protein to use in another recipe. Quick shredded chicken when you want to make a pasta or tacos or something is awesome. Keeps the bulk of your cook time on the actual recipe you're making instead of on waiting on the protein FOR the recipe to cook.

I do. It is great for making one pot meals. I can sear, saute, slow cook and/or pressure cook all with the same device and I don't have to monitor constantly.

We have a Cuisinart and have used it for about 5 years. Very tender meat in a short length of time.

Yup.

Our most common meal is carnitas or carnita-ish stuff.

I have one and use it at least once a week. Also use it to make rice since I don't have a dedicated rice cooker.

Great for bean dishes.
