Simmons is such a weird dude. He wants all the fame and clout and money but doesn’t want to do anything to earn it. Not even play basketball.
Thousands of guys out there scraping to just make it to the NBA and then there’s Ben Simmons..
Hell, Harden, Irving.. plenty of headcases but at least they go out and play and earn their money

But he (or more correctly, his father) figured out early on, he's got the 100% perfect physical profile for the game, and was aware that you can make millions of dollars because of that. So he was groomed for this. Uprooted from home and moved halfway around the world, did the 'elite' training and played the requisite year of D1 college ball. Now going through the motions in the NBA.
I don't know him personally, don't know what he likes. But he probably HATES basketball.
