Heading to Whole Foods later to get some fish...

Burnt out on Salmon...want to try something different, but that is easy to cook.
For example, I broil on high my salmon filets...7 minutes, then I flip and go another 4+ minutes...and I am done.
Any suggestions? Looking to avoid a fish that typically has a lot of tiny bones, but is flaky. Have been getting a lot of salmon because the kids like it and it is easy to prepare.

First suggestion...BETTER have your scratch in order if you buying fish from Whole PAYCHECK...er...Foods.
Regarding the fish, not a big fan of salmon, but I love me some Mahi Mahi. Great fish that is hella easy to cook. I like to eat it with sauteed baby bokchoy, and ginger fried rice. Top the fish with a spicy mango salsa.

If the store has some fresh halibut, give it a try. flaky type meat, delicious if fresh. prepare the same as the salmon.

Halibut is good if very fresh. What about the local fish? Flounder, Redfish (wholefoods sells whole) and trout? Could always buy one whole redfish take off the filets and leave the scales and do a good old redfish on the halfshell, one of my favorite foods...

I like halibut as well. Goes great with some fresh fennel.
I had a nice flounder filet from WF a few weeks ago. Pan sauteed it.

I'd go with snapper or redfish. Both are great with a few spices on the grill and can be prepared a number of different ways.

I would go Tuna Steaks. Marinate in Soy sauce and Olive Oil. Then sprinkle Tony's and cracked pepper on the outside before placing on the grill. Just sear the outsides and enjoy. Good with grilled veggies

Funny thing is my dog actually got into my tackle box and pierced her own lip once
What about Shark? ever tried it? Some people love it some people hate it. Kinda on the swordfish front.

REALLY???? Why marinate TUNA??? Just some spices on the outside is all you need. Soy sauce would just kill the natural taste of the tuna. To each his own though I guess...

I feel you on it, just had to mess with you a bit. I try to only buy wild caught fish. I really miss Louisiana where I could get good fresh fish CHEAP!

Buy a nice red snapper and get the River Roads One or Two and cook Red Snapper Bernice. Serve over rice. Can substitute redfish.
Tuna seared for about 90 seconds on each side then slice thin and serve with soy and wasabi.
Whole Trout stuffed and baked or pan sauteed in butter and olive oil. Dust in flour first.
I like salmon in the can.

I use to not, but one time I went to Tigre's on Highland (out of buisness now) and the soy sauce was a great kicker. So i do it now!

If they have halibut, go for it. Best fish there is. I eat it once or twice a week, its a delicious white meat fish, not a fishy oily taste, that is great grilled, baked or fried. I bake it with yogurt on top (I know, wierd) and Mozzerella cheese. Lemon juice, garlic, salt and butter also works.
