so you think that it's wrong to stand for the Anthem? somebody sounds like a bitch but it's not the other poster!
Nothing wrong with standing or sitting. Standing doesn’t make you any more of an “American” than sitting and vice versa. People can love their country and not give a damn aboit it’s symbolisms like anthems and flags. I personally don’t care about the anthem or the flag. America would still be America if neither the anthem or the flag ever existed. But if someone enjoys hearing the anthem or seeing the flag, that’s completely cool with me. I tend not to concern myself with what other people are doing.

So...you don't care what anyone else does, but you're telling him how he should think. Priceless.
And you’re just looking for any reason to be offended. Even going so far as to be offended by things that have no effect on you whatsoever. Sad

at least they aren’t kneeling like the soccer team did to the groans of the entire crowd
When did kneeling become so offensive?
Somebody better tell the Cat Licks.

No. That’s just the loud mouth fringe of both sides. The majority of us are centrists who either lean slightly left or slightly right but tend to agree on about 90% of things. We just don’t stand up and scream about nonsense like the moronic extremes of the two parties.

OP is upset that the PA announcer didn’t tell people what to do
OP is upset that we as a culture have lost collective pride in our country, etc. such that announcers at games are too fearful to even ask, not demand as you incorrectly described, that people stand--which, as you correctly point out, they do not have to do.
OP may be right or wrong in that disappointment. But that is what they are upset about.

What the hell you're talking about, I don't know. No one is talking about making laws to stand, as you straw man about. Worship has nothing to do with this conversation. Nobody can necessarily expect people to listen to you or care, including yourself, so I don't know point you think you're making there. Yes, freedom is a wonderful thing.

I went to several basketball games, men's and women's, where they DID ask you to rise for the National anthem. Don't know why the softball program is dropping the ball.

I don't know the answer to the initial question. But you won't have to ask me to stand for our national anthem. I do that willingly and voluntarily.

I've never liked kneelers.

Has anyone answered why it’s disrespectful to keep your hat on during The Anthem?

But for some reason the 90% aren't controlling the narrative.

Been to all mens sporting events this year in person. I have season football and baseball. They play the anthem, show the lyrics on the scoreboard at football and right field Lineup board for baseball. 99.7% of everyone stands. This is a nothingburger.

It is clear you know little about this country, so-called and its government. Read this if you are interested.
