If Yan beats Sterling, none of the UFC champs are Americans. When I started getting into UFC Matt Hughes, Rich Franklin, Chuck Liddell, Tim Sylvia were champions. How time has changed.

Amazing card, wish I was off for it. Still not sure how zombie got a title shot though, I guess because he’s a big draw. Gotta go with all the favorites on the main card

Deservedly so. American BJJ/MMA gyms are widely turning into McDojo’s where they give out belts to people to get them to keep coming and paying their monthly memberships. Brazilians have a fricked up culture too where it’s all about sitting down and having a 7th degree coral belt lecture you for 3 hours then teach you some antiquated bullshite that hasn’t worked since 1994. Americans and Brazilians are both falling behind the international pack and will continue to do so
I mean it’s frowned upon to train hard or be “spazzy” and we generally don’t go 10% as hard as Eastern Europeans and Africans do. Those guys are fighting their asses off in the gym every day trying to make it to the show

I was watching the UFC embedded, there was a spot where he says he had waited 10 years for this title shot and my immediate thought was well than you likely don’t deserve it
