I expected someone else on a Friday sooner or later. Hilliard is a vet so he deserves the first crack. My hope is that neither Money nor Hilliard are the Friday guy. I know Friday is important, but I like Money on Saturday and Hilliard on Sunday. You can scratch and claw on Friday, use your bullpen wisely, then have the pitching advantage on Saturday and Sunday. None of our "starters" will match up well against other Friday night arms. I think Money or Hilliard "could" win on Fridays but so "could" just about anybody else individually or even in a tandem.
I think the pitching order is an important aspect lost amidst our defensive issues. We have to maximize what we have to work with on the mound against what we're facing on the mound, even if that means rolling the dice on Friday to be better positioned for Saturday and Sunday.
