Steve was a master speckled trout guide out of Golden Meadow in the 90’s. He was/is an old friend and we visited and fished often for years. I last saw him in 2016 or 2017 but he virtually disappeared off the radar soon after that. Anyone have any current info on him?

He passed away in December 2020.

Heck of a fisherman.

I didn’t realize that he passed away.

He was an absolute master.

When it came to greasy kings and wormy trout, guy was one of the best. Good teacher as well.

He was running charters out of the place near the old bridge in Leeville back in the late 80s. He towed us back to the ramp once when we ko'd the lower unit on a piling. Great fisherman but he was quirky for sure

Back in the day when I was heavy into fishing and kept up with all the local publications, no doubt he was known as the master for trophy specks.
