Had WW been even marginally clever and/or smarter about this whole thing, he would've been coaching tonight. Too much is too much and something had to be done.

Yeah, we were going to win a national championship if Wade were still here, right?

Do you have anything of substance to back this up?

You're saying he wanted to immediately replace the guy that just went 16-2 in the SEC and got to the Sweet 16?

The only thing that would make this type of allegation make any sense is that Woodward recognized Wade was a sleazebag early on but needed more evidence to fire him. If that's your theory it makes sense.

Woodward will eventually get to a point where his inability to do no harm will end. Everyone still in honeymoon phase — most notably the local BR sports media clan who strive to stay on his good side.

A few local media guys have been saying this for quite some time. I can remember Moscona saying on his morning show that Woodward wanted to bring in his own guy weeks before the NOA was handed down. The only real surprise is it happened so quickly and they didn’t wait until after the season.

I think your last sentence is pretty spot on. The 2020 allegation did Wade in. I’ve heard Moscona & Jordy both say after Woodward found out about that it was over.
