Looking at a 61" to cut 4.5 acres. Anyone here with any experience with this brand?

TIA

I don’t have experience with them but I’ve got a good friend that has one and he brags on it every year, he’s had it about 3-4 years now. I think his is the Alpha MPX, I know he’s mentioned it having strong hydro gear transmission and a powerful engine. It has a strong, thick mowing deck and he said it has a long warranty.
They are made by the same company that makes Hustler

Step-dad bought one of the commercial grades to cut 2.5 acres once a week. The thing is a beast. But way overkill for what he needs.

Dad and brother have them not sure what model but they have been happy with them, several years old and several acres of cutting for each.
I am on my second hustler, first one lasted 13yrs so I bought a second one.

Good brand, it’s the same mower as hustler. I had to buy a mower last year and was stuck with slim pickings because of deck size. So i ended up with a gravely. But i was going to get a big dog before that.

I have been having one almost a year so far and haven’t had any issues. Good mover and it seems well built

I’ve had one for five years now. Trouble free.

They all come with either Kawasaki or Kohler engines, both of which are solid.

I have one and no complaints. I am only cutting 2.5 acres, however.
I run over sticks, mud holes, etc. Has plenty of power to pull a wagon. lift the flap if you are cutting the thicker stuff.

I usually fill up the mower each cut but I run it wide open

Father in law is a mechanic at a Big Dog dealer. Certain models are more problematic than others. What specific one are you looking at? I can ask him if it is worth a crap. There are a few models he hates and tries to tell customers not to buy. He actually worked on design flaws with the Big Dog engineers.

Have an MP 60". Strongly recommend. ITs a beast and overkill for my yard.

They are good units, red Hustlers. The 2022 models have Briggs or Kohler engines on them. They are SLIM pickings this season. Excel building less of them to be able to make more Hustler units.

I bought the MZ Magnum 54" cut 3 years ago. I cut 2 1/2 acres every 3 days during peak cutting season.
Never had an issue.

Have had a ZT Elite 48" for 3 years and no issues. I mow 2 acres in about 1 1/2 hours, and that is with a bunch of trees. Seat is very comfortable and mower is well built. I have the 725CC Kohler engine and it runs flawlessly.
