A thank you to Coach Wade

I don’t care what you Wade haters think. Go be miserable and judgmental and enjoy the fruits of what that mindset brings.
Thank you Coach Wade for bringing energy and passion to our school. To us real Tigers and Louisianians, it’s not about the scoreboard, it’s about what you brought to work each day. And it’s the reason after a while we started to despise Miles, although he “won”.
We are all human and make mistakes, and there is no one more “human” than Coach K, Cal, and all the other cronies. The ncaa and college athletics is a complete double standard filled joke.
I wish you the very best moving forward and the next school will be extremely lucky to have you.

Yes. Will Wade made the mistake of not having a fall guy to absorb this blow to his job.
Excellent comparison.

The man has destroyed the basketball program for the foreseeable future. If you want to thank him for that go ahead.

Yeah man, the mighty LSU basketball program. So mighty, it had a losing record before Wade got here.

Yeah man. The Basketball program is destroyed! Maybe we will go back to losing seasons like we had before Wade? Lmao.

No, he didn’t destroy the program. What he inherited had already been destroyed.
Depending on the hire Woody pulls off, he created momentum to build on. Look at Ole Miss football, Freeze built a good program, got busted. After a couple of years, the program was back where he left it.
I think Wade built momentum that a good coach can build on.
Ball is in Woody’s court. If he’s the best in the business, now is his time to show it.

Who will be our Matt Luke before the Lane Kiffin?
It will get worse before it gets better

Wade brought energy due to winning, which was mainly due to the players, the players he paid.

I liked Wade but I love LSU and we don’t even know what our punishment is and you’re thanking him. We have some dumb arse fans!

When the team sucks next year be sure to thank him then.
Not going to thank a man for being stupid.
What I will do is thank the players for deciding to accept their "strong arse offers" and come here to play instead of the blue blood programs.

LSU Legend in less than 5 full years
5 straight postseasons
Took out Alleva.
Took out F. King Alexander.
Embraced Louisiana.
Won.
Coach Wade
You set the standard at LSU and I'll be damned that I will judge every coach after you by your standard on the court.
Love you General

Dude - he showed us exactly how it is done. He just didn’t do it very well.

His 6 recruiting violations in first 5 years will be tough to beat. The 1 tournament win is doable I think.

Most didn't excuse Orgeron for being exactly this, so why for Wade? Likely because it IS about the scorecard and how bad LSU basketball was before him.

So if he didn't win you actually think the energy around the program still would've been the same?

It's amazing how much Wade "beating" the NCAA two years ago brainwashed our fanbase.
People still believe he was wronged.

No. It didn't. Not even close. LSU's all-time record is right at 400 games above .500.
