But 1 huge advice note. Never stop doing them. It's one of those things that if you don't use it, you lose it. I slowly stopped doing them, now I'm back to getting maybe a set of 6. Sucks.
Yep. Several years ago I had a little basement gym set up. Probably over 10 years ago when I started piecing it together. I was hitting my redneck pullup bar 2-3 times a week, and I got to where I could knock out a couple sets of 10-12, and do a couple more sets of 8-10. Then I sliced two fingers open on my left hand, ended up with stitches for a week or so, and let it heal another 2-3 weeks before really doing anything as far as upper body work outs. When I got back into it, I could barely squeeze out 5-6 reps.

As a new goal I’d like to get to be able to get to 15-20 in a set Are there specific pull-up programs that are out there? ‘My gym has a pull-up machine…are those good to use? Thanks for any advice/tips
Banded pull-ups, negatives, Lat pull downs. Cutting weight always helps too.

I thought this was going to be about potty training.

Pretty much you just have to do them. Do sets throughout the day and eventually you will build up to more. That is how I got to where I am now doing anywhere from 25-30 max.

Most of the above posts have covered what I could possibly add. Just keep after it, I started doing assisted pullups and by month four I was doing multiple sets of weighted pullups. Its a slow grind but one day months from now you're going to be laughing at the fact you can knock out 3 sets of weighted pullups.
