I knew some people who got a certain number of dollars per A. My parents knew I was motivated by punishment and said anything under a B led to my TV and video games being taken away until next test with an A or B. Got a C one time and they stuck to it, and never got another C until college.
Will never pay my kids for getting grades they should be getting.
