He will end up at Clemson.
This saves LSU some face with NCAA, and lets Wade out to head to Clemson.

Just wait….

Wade is about to be hit with a show cause. No one is touching him for a few years at best

Dude show causes aren’t shite, why does everyone think that show causes are some huge thing and make some one unhireable?
If the coach is decent a university that wants to hire him will have no problem adhering to the show cause terms.
There’s like this stigma associated with the term “show cause” and everyone blows it out of proportion when in reality it is nothing.

In the National Collegiate Athletic Association, a show-cause penalty is an administrative punishment ordering that any NCAA penalties imposed on a coach found to have committed major rules violations will stay in effect against that coach for a specified period of time—and could also be transferred to any other NCAA-member school that hires the coach while the sanctions are still in effect.

Both the school and coach are required to send letters to the NCAA agreeing to abide by any restrictions imposed. They must also report back to the NCAA every six months until either the end of the coach's employment or the show-cause penalty. If the school wishes to avoid the NCAA penalties imposed on that coach, it must send representatives to appear before the NCAA's Committee on Infractions and "show cause" as to why it should not be penalized for hiring that coach.

And?? I know what a show cause is…
It’s nothing. Name the last time a show cause kept a school from hiring a good coach.

The reality is the NCAA may not even be the governing body over P5 sports in the next 5 years.

With the mega conferences and NIL, the NCAA is on the way out.

Because that’s exactly what they do. There’s a reason Bruce Pearl was on TV for several years and not coaching, and his name wasn’t nearly as toxic, and he’s a much better coach than Wade too

Pearl lied to the NCAA about having a recruit to his house for a BBQ. Wade has at least 6 Level 1 violations. Again, Wade won't coach gray Y for years.

I would be surprised if he doesn’t get a show cause for at least not cooperating with the investigation.

Lmao. Ok.
If a university wants to hire a coach bad enough then a show cause will not stop that university from making the hire.

Pearl was hired with 5 months still to serve on his show cause.

Wade isn’t good enough for a school to even consider it.

A whole 5 months?

I think y’all severely overestimate how desired a coach Wade is outside of Baton Rouge
