What’s your ideal setup when you play? Any favorites or disasters? I’ve played anywhere from grab and go in the pro shop to country clubs with chefs out on the course grilling/smoking. Do you utilize the cart girl (insert joke here)? I’ve got a trip planned where I’ll have two totally different experiences and it got me thinking

Best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had in my life was out at Squire Creek. I get hungry even thinking about it.

Beef jerky and bananas. Flask with a mixer. Skip the heavy stuff.

Depends on who I’m playing with. If it’s a saturday fun round before a college football game with my friends it’s beers, liquor, and food everywhere.

If I’m playing during the week or a serious round it’s maybe a beer and the food will be a lot healthier.

Couple of frozen water bottles and granola bars.

* Old Orchard GC in Sugarland Tx use to have the best tortilla sausage wrap ever. Always had the get one after the round or at the turn.

Usually a couple of beers on the front with breakfast sandwich from the grill consumed by hole 3

Make the turn and grab a double screwdriver or transfusion (in the summer) with some trail mix to snack on the back 9. Lunch afterwards usually southwest Turkey wrap with sweet potato fries

Depends…

If it’s a serious / tournament round, I won’t eat anything heavy before I play (eggs and fruit and a tea for breakfast or something like that) and will nibble on biltong or nuts or something like that while I play. And drink a lot of water and zero calorie Gatorade.

If it’s a frick around / hit and giggle / Saturday with the boys (like most of my rounds are), I like a big arse BBQ sandwich with pickles and fries if I can find it. Otherwise, a hot dog with fries or chips. Start the round with a double bourbon on the rocks and steady myself with about 2 beers per side.

Ok now that’s a good answer. I’ve played in 2.5 hours with nothing but a bottle of water and I’ve played in a death march where a buddy bought a whole bottle or crown from the cart girl
