What if that was a necessary component of what made him tick? Why can't adults understand that you are not going to find some perfect unicorn that checks every box you want in every aspect of a leader, and just understand that some flawed people are able to do things better than other flawed people -- recognizing that ALL will be flawed people in some manner?

Behind the scenes (total speculation on how Trump works) he's telling Putin to now worry about Ukraine. There is no way Ukraine will join NATO under Trump's watch.
Result: peace.
