Why do BR/NO voters think...............

Well the criminals are getting what they voted for… get their arse back in the street quicker.

Because Republicans are all racist.

I can’t really give a perspective on BR, but in the case of NO, the reason the voters keep voting Democrat is that they’re stupid, plain and simple. Look at the educational performance in the area - it’s abysmal. The smart people eventually wake up and realize that this romanticized idea of New Orleans being such a great place to live is no longer a reality and hasn’t been for a long time. The really smart people are hauling arse out of there like nobody’s business.

Simply put, these voters elect candidates who look and think like they do.

That's really all it is.

They aren't going to vote for someone who doesn't look or think like do.

And don't act like this only happens in urban areas.

If all voters voted for candidates who had proven success, we'd have massive turnover every election, as the vast majority of politicians don't have any proven success and they would be turned out to give someone else a try.
