I’m headed there to help with a documentary. I hear it’s amazing but before this week I had never heard of it.

It is simply amazing. Get a book on it and read up before you go. I have not been on the ranch, but I have been adjacent to it. A very very rich history indeed. Good luck on your trip!

the Kennedy had just the right amount of scrub oak canopy for when they turned on the heat

I've been to the Armstrong ranch which is surrounded by the Kenedy and King ranch. Awesome place, you could drive a straight line for what felt like 30 minutes without getting to the edge of the property, and the Kenedy dwarfs it.

I have been there and hunted it. It is a spectacular place for sure.

Thx, i need a break from work. Will do my spirit good to get to Texas and sit by a fire and drink whiskey looking at those sunsets. Plus I get show the ranch hands how HuntControl works. We are doing some filming in conjunction with WiseEye, Luminock and Slow Glow lights. I can’t wait to get started.

Pics are steady pouring in. Big bucks w all the gear still coming in. Pigs by the dozen. One pic had 37 pigs that I could count.

I've been on the King a few times, but not the Kennedy. Beautiful country.

We have a lease on the Kenedy ranch and it is spelled with one N if that’s what you are referring
Outstanding nilgai hunting and that’s why we like it.

Hey SenseiBuddy
Mifflin Kennedy is my step Great Great Great Grandfather having married my GGG Grandmother Petra Vela after her husband Colonel Luis Vidal died in the war. He fought for Mexico. When Mifflin married Petra Vela, he adopted all of her children with Col. Luis Vidal and then they had another 6 or so kids themselves.
The Kenedy Ranch was created when Mifflin Kenedy and his partner, Richard King, closed out their partnership. King created the King Ranch and Mifflin created Los Laureles - now the Kenedy Ranch.
Miflin was a wealthy man with land, cattle, shipping and railroad holdings. I've only been down there on business a few times and have long distant relatives there but a wealth of historical informaiton obtained through family research. Let me know how you found it to be.
