1967 .25/gal for regular.
There was no unleaded back then.

$.59 back in the mid 90’s.
You could go to school for 2 weeks and cruise all night on consecutive weekends before spending $20 on gas

.18 cents. Billups Service Stations around 1967 or so.

It’s interesting looking at these based on inflation. A dollar a gallon in the late 70s seems like a lot, and an enormous jump from ten or so years before.

55-57 cents/gal when I got my driver's license in 1975.

When I was mowing lawns as a teenager, I could fill my 2 gallon gas can for a quarter.

79 cents is the lowest I remember. $12 could give me full gas tank. Pizza delivery baws made bank back then.

I remember being furious at this buddy of mine that got his license first of all of us having to chip in 5 bucks for gas cause we knew it only took 5 bucks to overflow his gas tank.
Gas was 30 40 cents a gallon and his little jap car may have held 12 gallons.
None of us would ever ask for gas money from anyone else to this day lol

When I first got my license my sophomore year in high school (2002) I think it was like $1.09. As a broke teenager you could put $10 in the truck and actually get somewhere.

Me paying? .82 at the Shell station on the corner of Highland by LSU as a student.
As a kid... I remember seeing signs for .32 a gallon. Prolly early 70's.
