Hey Kumswallow - Is locking people in prison for marijuana bad and racist? Is withholding evidence that would free someone falsely convicted bad and racist? Is using prison laborers to fight wildfires for pennies on the dollar bad and racist.

Tell me what new laws of physics they discovered to make a 90% reduction in emission even possible in under 10 years?
This is how they crush the fossil fuel industry and strongarm manufacturers into making all electric platforms that don't work.
It's simply unrealistic and another example of the government picking winners and losers.
As it stands modern diesel engines are unreliable rolling emissions plants. This will only make it worse.

Yet, not a single study exists stating those living near freight routes in the United States suffer from health issues due to emissions.

Nuclear war will have the greatest impact on minorities. More minorities live near urban centers and they will be targeted the most. Add in some stuff about how it goes back to slaves in Civil War, Tuskegee Airmen, Civil Rights movement during Cold War, and then add about 20 pages of word salad. Got someone a sure Pulitzer here, and probably a book and movie deal.

Sad to say but this is probably largely driven by communities here in the Central Valley. I’ve heard this is on a local level for years. I guess it’s gone national now. Communities along I5 and the 99 do have higher rates of asthma (might even be the entire country) but we’re in valley and the pollutants that accumulate here are not only our own but those from the Bay and Asia. To give you an idea how bad the air quality gets here during summer I cannot see the Sierra Nevadas and they’re only 20 miles away. It’s gorgeous here during the winter but summer has horrible air quality.
We’ll all of that being said, this isn’t racist. There are tons of rednecks, Hispanics, Asians and a few black people sprinkled in here and there in these areas and Kamala is an idiot for making that case. Poor people live in cheap areas that’s nothing new.
