I prefer Gio off the bench. He’s a 4th OF. Pinch hit/defensive replacement

Having two middle infields who can’t make routine plays is a recipient for disaster. If they can’t turn it around you have to insert some consistency in the field.

Gio is better in the OF and at the plate than Bianco. Why would you ever want to start Bianco over him? That’s absurd.

Where? At this point you need to choose between Jobert and Berry at DH. Berry can’t stay in the field

Jobert can play RF.

The lineup isn’t the problem right now, it’s the defensive errors.

CF Gio

IMO.

ETA: Or Merrifield at 2B. If Thompson can’t figure out how to make routine plays you have to look at Bianco at SS.

All I would add is that if you want another right-hand batter in the lineup then sub Bianco for Gio in the OF.

Bianco hit something like 270/400/470 from SEC play through the postseason last year

Need to find my spread sheet. Sample size was big, too.

Follow the thread son, we’re trying to place everyone to limit errors

Maybe against lefties. Otherwise, agree.

I think I’d try Merrifield at 2nd and if he can’t keep his average up (or field well) then try Bianco

I'm expecting Gio to bat around .300. And he's arguably our best glove in the OF. Start him.

Gio is a singles hitter who strikes out a ton & is just ok on defense. Besides if they go a platoon route, Bianco isn’t who he’d be competing with,

This is going to be an athletic, 3 outcome lineup & Gio doesn’t really fit that theme. He’s not an everyday player on a good team & this team has too many good players

Well our Catcher is batting below .140. How about we fix that first?

Jack should play until he proves he can’t handle the pitching. He has been a tough out. I’d even consider hitting him in the top half to spread some of the studs out

Gio is a much much better OF than Bianco, Berry, and Jobert. To be honest he should be in center and Crews in RF.
We should move Doughty to 3rd, Cranford to SS and Merifield or Bianco at 2nd. Berry should only DH from here on out.

Berry & Joubert sure

Bianco tracks balls better & has a better throwing arm. Gio is faster but doesn’t track balls like a good CF does. If they are playing RF I’d rather the RH guy as the ball tails glove-side

Gio isn’t a great defender. I’m not sure where that comes from. He’s an average CF

Nothing wrong with being a singles hitter. And right now, we could all use some "just ok on defense."

Don’t care just fix. Losing to Texas is one thing but losing to Baylor is bullshite. They damn near went 0-3

Gio made a play late in the game last night against Texas that Bianco doesn’t come close to making and his arm looks better this year than the previous years. He also brings another left handed bat and speed to the line up. He has hit the ball hard this year and has batting .300
In the past. Bianco is too inconsistent for me.
