If US/NATO didn’t provoke war w/ Ukraine, then how was it predicted years ago they would?

Good video from Jimmy Dore here:
LINK
I’ve seen other videos as early as 2007 predicting war in Ukraine because of NATO. All of this death could have been avoided had there been an effort to reach a deal where Ukraine is neutral instead of backing Russia into a corner. Russia is not a “good guy” by any means, but as long as they aren’t threatening to harm us, we shouldn’t be trying to intentionally piss them off.

Peace was not part of the plan. War and instability was globalists' means of achieving changes they wanted.

While I agree on an objective level, we're kind of fricking Ukraine and ignoring their sovereignty.
Who is Russia to tell Ukraine what to do? Clearly by their actions, they had no rational response and went to invasion instead.

Which means they obviously didn’t want to fix it and wanted what we are currently seeing.

There is one. Signed in 1994, yet Ukraine has been subject to Russian interference constantly. And now Russian invasion.

What a Putin loving Nazi to make a correct prediction

Countries entering an alliance isn't justification for starting a war.
Nobody was going to invade Russia. It's a bs excuse for Russia to rebuild the USSR.
Note. Putin hasn't invaded a NATO country. 2 non NATO countries. Why wouldn't a nation want to join NATO?

There’s been zero effort to make Ukraine neutral, which is what should have been done. Russia would more than likely have accepted a neutral Ukraine deal over having NATO at their border. Ukraine could have been sovereign without trying to become part of NATO.
Russia doesn’t have a right to tell Ukraine what to do, but you have to weigh the pros and cons and I don’t see all these dead people as being worth the insistence on becoming a member of NATO. Sovereignty and joining a group Russia sees as a threat are two different things.

Did Russia invade and kill people before NATO membership became a real possibility?

Predicting Russia would invade a neighbor is no big deal. Throughout history Russia has invaded their neighbors.
They invaded their neighbors before there was a NATO.
They invaded their neighbors before there was a NATO.

Crimea in the early to mid 2010s? I dunno if they were already pivoting towards the West at that point to be honest though.

Russia sees NATO as threat. Ukraine tries to join NATO. Seem smart?

NATO weapons at Russias border isn’t backing them into a corner?

He invaded a soon to be NATO country to gain control before they had the opportunity to put NATO weapons on his border.

Russia invades and kills people. Ask Georgia and Crimea.
Stop blaming the U.S. and NATO. This is all on Putin. Had Ukraine joined NATO, this wouldn't be happening.

Ukraine, the country invaded twice in 8 years, hasn't been neutral? When did they invade another state?
Are they a member of NATO? The EU?

Russia is being completely irrational.
and
Russia doesn't want a neutral Ukraine. They want a puppet state. That's the first flaw in this argument.
The second is giving credence to any belief (by Russia) that joining a defensive-pact is an offensive threat.

Jimmy Dore had Peter Lavelle on about this. Lavelle is 100% biased and literally Russian state TV (he has a show on RT). But, he described this is a Cuban Missile Crisis in reverse. That is why people are saying, would you be comfortable with China hooking up with Mexico and putting nukes there?

Imagine if China started expanding in our area.
Would you feel the same?
